Terms of Service & Structural Performance Standards
Effective Date: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By browsing this portal or saving designs in our digital interactive studio, you agree to comply with these terms. These provisions constitute a legal agreement between you and Brieflies Libraries Co.
2. Structural Load-Bearing and Weight Warning
Our library wall configurations and shelving models are precision-engineered to hold heavy weight loads. It is critical to adhere to the following strict guidelines:
- Maximum Certified Load: Do not exceed the designated weight limits of 450 lbs per vertical shelving array as outlined in your customized project specification sheet.
- Anchoring Obligation: Our heavy-duty hardware systems require direct, deep structural integration into wall studs or concrete backings. Brieflies Libraries Co. rejects all structural liability for systems mounted onto unsupported drywall partitions.
3. Timber Characteristic and Natural Grain Disclaimer
We work exclusively with certified premium natural hardwoods (including Walnut, Mahogany, and Blackened Oak). Because wood is an active organic substance, slight differences in texture, grain flow, and stain absorbency are normal parts of custom millwork. These individual characteristics are not structural defects.
4. CAD Designs and Intellectual Property
Any technical drawings, 3D floor plan layouts, modular ladder system schematics, or CAD files made in our Design Studio are the exclusive intellectual property of Brieflies Libraries Co. They may not be copied, distributed, or given to external non-certified joinery companies without our clear written consent.
5. On-Site Preparation Requirements
Clients are fully responsible for ensuring installation zones are completely clear of electrical routing, internal water piping, and architectural structural obstacles before our installation team arrives. Work areas must maintain a temperature range of 65–75°F (18–24°C) to prevent timber swelling during installation.
6. Limitation of Liability
Brieflies Libraries Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from third-party modifications, overloading, or improper cleaning of natural finishes with volatile chemical mixtures.
